BLAH!!

  So I have been in a three day exercise slump. Monday was fine, I was pumped and up for the challenge, and then Tuesday came and there was much to do and much cleaning to be done so I did that instead. Then on Wednesday there was more cleaning to do and many places to go so that was done instead of the exercise. Then yesterday I tackled the upstairs and went out to lunch with my fathah so again working out was forgotten and left behind. This stinks! I want to be in shape! I can't have anymore excuses! I need to go to bed earlier and wake up like wise! I need to eat a little something for energy and then my first task of the day needs to be working out, above all else! (Except scripture reading with the hubby.) I need to get it done so I can say that I am capable of accomplishing my goals!! Now I need to pretend like today is my first day back into working out and I just need to stick to it! I enjoy doing it once I've gotten started! It's just trying to get myself ready and into it is the problem! Well today I work out and then I clean the rest of the upstairs! No more Excuses!!

Working it out

 So it has been a couple of days since I've last posted, well that is because Friday was sort of a downer day and I needed a date night with the hubby so I cheated on the diet and had CHIPOTLE!!!! AHHH!!! I know I know but it was just so good and there are just some things you should not deprive yourself of! And Chipotle is one of those things! haha and needless to say I was a bum about my diet the whole weekend. Monday came and I did a lot better eating wise though I didn't work out. I did stay active though by cleaning the whole downstairs! That was a workout in itself!! I did get in a Total Body Burn 45 minute video though and I feeeeeel thhheee buuurrrn!!! Haaa And now to clean the upstairs portion of the house!!! Now to stick to the bun burning action so I can look good in that bathing suit this summer!! Woooot!

Day #4: Workout

 So as you may see day number three is missing, well after my workout on day number two I woke up so sore I could barely walk. I think I pushed it a little too fast and did a little too much. I got a little too eager about getting my body fit and into shape that I ignored the easing your body back into extensive exercise rule. Haha and so I am paying for it!! However, today is a new day and being slightly less sore today than I was yesterday I am excited to do another video and continue my progress into losing weight before the summer!!!

Already Struggling

 I am having a hard time with food!!! It's not so simple to just swear off the deliciously goodness of junkfood! I am craving a big, humungoid burrito from Chipotle complete with a full bag of their mouthwatering chips and guacamole!! I want the cheesiest of the grilled cheeses with a stack of fries and a huge mound of ketchup to dip it all in!!! And most of all I want a huge appetizer platter from MiMi's with fried zucchini and chicken and bread and some mmm mmm artichoke dip!!! EEEEEE!!! Instead of giving in to temptation I am being strong and writing about it so that I can let it all out here instead of at a restaurant. Though I do have to say that I may have to give in to the Chipotle temptation on one splurge day I am allowing myself once a week! HAHA!! So here's to being healthy but also appreciating and enjoying the delicious foods we just can't give up!!

Day #2: Workout

Got my workout in for the day! Woot Woot! Barely made it through the second workout video but I persevered! haha I did the 30 minute Cardio video and then ended it with the 25 minute Hips, Buns and Thighs video and everything is burning!! If you're looking for a fun, intense, full body workout then I strongly, strongly recommend Shaun T's Hip Hop abs!!! I think tomorrow I'll do the workouts and also try and get in a run!!!

Workout

 So yesterday, January 17th was the first day of my workout and it was ROUGH!!! 30 minutes of cardio and I was beat! BUT, I did it!! I committed to working out and had a pumped up, no giving in attitude and I flew through the 30 minutes like it was nothing! Though after the cool down, I sat down and tried to breath for 15 minutes or so haha but today I feel so GOOD about myself and I feel energized to start again!! So in about 15 minutes I am popping in Hip Hop Abs once again and I am going to shoot for 45 minutes today! If it proves to much I'll just stick to the 30 minute workout (slowly working my way into exercise is probably a good idea seeing as how I haven't been in the best of shape for awhile)! But also I need to start eating healthy too. This morning I ate a small, correct portion size bowl of Special K Red Berries cereal and for Lunch I was thinking half of a Turkey Sandwich with a couple chips on the side and dinner is yet to be planned!!  Luckily we don't have much snacks around our house and the ones we do have are for Michael David's lunch so he can be energized while he is working!! So here is to another day of reaching a goal!!!

New Years Resolution

So begins the start of a new year and with this new year, of course comes New Years Resolutions. I myself have many resolutions: Write a book, read the entire Book of Mormon with my husband, finally get a job, go to more service activities at church and of course eating healthy and losing weight. That is the purpose of this new blog I am keeping. The goal is to write about these new years goals and to make this blog my motivation for staying committed. I want all of these things to happen this year and I know by writing it for everyone to see will help me stay focused on what it is I need to get done this year. Having others read and expect results will be a great way to make sure that I don't slack off and that I really take the time and make sure this year is an eventful and successful one! So let's bring on the new year and bring on the goals!
